Any district can join the consortium
We have a consortium at the IU15. Our districts have been implementing full time and blended opportunities for their students. We are expanding the course offerings across the state. The courses and teachers are all PA certified, but there is opportunity to expand this with district teachers interested in creating courses and using the online resources as well.All districts in PA as well as other parts of the US are able to join the consortium. There is room for expansion and growth depending on the levels of interest from districts.

Virtual Academy - Chestnut Ridge School District
We have students enrolled in our Virtual Academy who blend their school day. Several come in daily to attend courses they choose to take face to face. They complete the remainder of their courses online. There really are no problems that we have encountered. Students check in and out with the attendance officer so we can account for their presence in the building. The biggest obstacle is for the family if the student does not drive and transportation is an issue. I'd be happy to answer an specific questions you might have.
